Because Billet Transfer Carts need to withstand extremely high temperatures, exposure to molten steel and slag, and heavy loads, their bodies are generally made from high-strength, high-temperature-resistant, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant alloy steels. These alloys often contain elements like chromium and molybdenum for enhanced durability. Parts of the ladle car that come into direct contact with molten steel or slag are typically lined or protected with refractory materials, such as heat-resistant bricks, to prevent damage.
