Customer Background:

A large equipment manufacturing factory previously relied solely on cranes and non-powered flat carts to move these heavy dies. Cranes occupied considerable space and were slow to operate, while the flat carts could only carry a limited number of dies at a time. Each transport task involved multiple workers and was both time-consuming and labor-intensive. Especially when moving between workshops over long distances, using only flat carts was not only inefficient but also posed safety risks—such as potential collisions with other equipment.

To address these challenges, the factory approached PEISA Machinery and customized the trackless electric transfer cart shown in the photos. Although it appears simple in design, the cart is engineered with sophisticated features. First, it is “trackless,” meaning it operates without the need for installed rails. As long as the ground is even, it can move freely throughout workshops and warehouses. Since the factory floor is already hardened, the cart can be put into operation immediately, eliminating the hassle and cost of rail installation.

The cart offers extremely high load capacity, capable of carrying several to tens of tons of steel plates per trip, fully meeting the factory’s demands. Operation is straightforward: a single operator can control all movements including forward, reverse, and turning via a wireless remote. Fitted with wear-resistant rubber wheels, the transfer cart ensures stable movement even on uneven surfaces, minimizing shaking during transport.

Since deploying this transfer cart the factory has significantly improved handling efficiency. Tasks that previously required several workers and hours of effort can now be completed by one operator in just minutes. Safety has also been enhanced, eliminating concerns such as sudden crane cable breakage or forklift overturning. The battery-powered unit can run a full shift on a single charge, and maintenance is simple—only routine checks of the tires and battery are needed.
